Wikipedia - List of Fictional Beverages

Duff beer
i’m not sure why i woke up this morning feeling driven to write a Wikipedia entry on fictional beverages. A similar page already existed, but it was bare-bones and poorly organized. i tooled up a nicer looking entry, borrowing code from the excellent List of fictional music groups, and redirected the original entry.
There are, of course, hundreds more fictional beverages to mention in the entry. Instead of donating time and money to your local community organization or favourite charity, why don’t you help stall humankind by sinking your attention into this pointless effort?

Unfortunately, that page was already deleted a year ago, so it’s possible it won’t be kept. The deletion discussion was at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/List_of_fictional_beverages
If you can find some sources for the article, it has a better chance of not being deleted this time.
There’s a copy of the original article on the List Wiki at http://list.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_fictional_beverages
Uh oh. Nixed by the Wikistapo.
It’s interesting that a gigantic entry listing fictional music groups could thrive on the ‘Pede, but a list of fictional drinks CROSSES THE LINE ENTIRELY. Smacks to me of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing … particularly since both hands have hundreds of thousands of fingers apiece.
In the “Marked for deletion” page, someone asks how a list of fictional beverages is at all useful. i’ll tell you how: i come up with what i think is a clever beverage name that i want to use in my comic, movie, video game, etc. i don’t want someone saying to me, months later “Oh … you know that was a drink in The Simpsons, right?”
Stuff your references, Wikipedia. A list of references for a page like this is redundant and pointless. Duff Beer - The Simpsons. Reference: The Simpsons. Buzz Beer - The Drew Carey Show. Reference: The Drew Carey Show. Phew! Thank goodness that reference was there, or i’d be completely lost.
